Present in 39 countries of the WHO Afro region, our members work to limit the detrimental impact of tobacco on the health and well-being of Africans.

The alliance continues to grow in strength and expertise and is working its way to emerge as a key player in implementation of the FCTC in Africa, pursuant to the crucial civil society role of raising the bar for stronger tobacco control policies and more effective implementation of existing laws. Today, ATCA coordinates the civil society agenda for tobacco control in Africa and is increasingly serving as the voice for the reversal of the tobacco epidemic in the continent.
