Argentina is not a Party to the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control. Argentina signed the FCTC on September 25, 2003, but has not ratified the treaty. Argentina does not have codes of conduct, plans or systems to discourage the interference of the industry in public policies. The national Ministry of Health is the only branch of the government that has partial measures to prevent the interaction between public officials and the industry in the design of tobacco control policies.
